Free Fire Name Change Guide: Steps, Rename Card and Symbols (2026)
A Free Fire name change is the rename of your in-game nickname from the profile screen, normally done with a Name Change Card. This guide lists the steps third-party guides describe, where the card comes from, and 16 styled names to copy, with the limits of what we checked.
Shared names appear in the list above for everyone.

How do I change my name in Free Fire?
Third-party guides describe the same path: open Free Fire, tap your profile banner at the top left of the home screen, open the edit option, choose the nickname field, type the new name and confirm with a Name Change Card. We have not opened the game for this page, so we show no screenshots and give no version number; check each step on your own screen.
Open your profile from the banner on the home screen.
Tap the edit icon, then the nickname field.
Type or paste the new name. A styled name from the tool above pastes as plain text.
Confirm. The game asks for a Name Change Card; if you have none, it offers the in-game way to get one.
Where does the rename card come from?
Guides name three sources: a newbie sign-in reward, event rewards, and the in-game Store. Prices change with events, so this page quotes none; open the Store in your game to see the current cost.
Which symbols stay after a rename?
We have not tested this in Free Fire. What we can say is how the characters are built: every style on this page is ordinary Unicode text, and whether the game keeps or strips a character depends on its own name rules and fonts. Paste a name into the field first and see what the game shows before you pay for a card. For the facts about boxes and normalisation, read Unicode and game name boxes; for the same steps in another game, see how to change name in BGMI.
Name ideas to copy
Sixteen original styles. The character count is the length of the copied text in code points; the game may count differently. Not tried in the game.
Questions about changing a Free Fire name
Is Free Fire the same game as PUBG Mobile or BGMI?
No. Free Fire is published by Garena, while PUBG Mobile and BGMI are separate games with their own name rules. This site is independent and not affiliated with any of them.
Can I change my name without a Name Change Card?
Guides say the card or its in-game purchase option is required for a rename after the first name. We have not verified this in the game, so check the confirm screen.
Will a styled name show correctly?
Not always. Some characters show as boxes in a given font; test by pasting before you confirm.
