These are 187 symbols players put in PUBG Mobile and BGMI nicknames, sorted by where they go in a name — frames around it, tags before or after it, and dividers for a bio. Tap any tile to copy it. Each group has a short table with the Unicode code point, its length in UTF-16 units and whether NFKC normalisation changes it.
Symbols to copy, grouped by where they go in a name
The groups follow how a decorated name is built rather than how Unicode files the characters: frames first, then tags, then the long pieces meant for a bio. Tap a tile and it is on your clipboard.
Frames and brackets
A frame goes around the whole name: paste the pair, then type or paste your name between the two halves. Most pairs here are single BMP characters, but the hieroglyph pairs 𓆩𓆪, 𓊆𓊇 and 𓊈𓊉 sit above U+FFFF and count as two UTF-16 units each, and ₍₎ is the one pair that NFKC turns into ordinary brackets.

Crowns and royal marks
Crowns and chess pieces are the usual tag for a leader or a “king” name. The whole chess set comes from the Miscellaneous Symbols block, so each piece is one unit and none of them is rewritten by NFKC.

Hearts
Hearts are the most common tag after stars. ღ is not a symbol at all but the Georgian letter “ghan”, which is why it sits comfortably inside a name that only accepts letters; ꨄ is a Cham letter used the same way.

Stars and sparks
Stars work as a prefix, a suffix or a separator between words. ✨ is the only one here that most phones draw as a colour emoji, although it is still a single BMP character.

Japanese and CJK accents
These are real letters and ideographs borrowed for their shape: 亗 and 彡 are CJK ideographs, ツ and シ are katakana. Two of them are compatibility characters — the half-width メ becomes メ and the circled ㋡ becomes ツ under NFKC.

Flourishes and Tibetan marks
The flourishes at the start and end of many decorated names are Tibetan marks such as ࿐ and ༄. ᭄ is different: it is a Balinese combining sign, so it attaches to the character before it rather than standing alone.

Dividers for a bio or clan line
Dividers are too long for most name boxes; they are meant for a bio, a clan description or a squad chat line. Several are built from vertical presentation forms or small form variants, which NFKC rewrites.

Weapon art
Every sniper-rifle drawing in this group uses ︻ (U+FE3B), a presentation form for vertical text. NFKC replaces it with the ordinary bracket 【, so on a system that normalises names the rifle loses its shape.

Which symbols can I actually paste into a PUBG or BGMI name?
Neither KRAFTON nor BGMI publishes a list of characters a nickname may contain, so no website can honestly promise that a given symbol will be accepted. What can be said is which symbols are the least likely to cause trouble, based on how they are stored.
- Safest: single symbols from the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP) that NFKC leaves alone — the crowns, stars, hearts, arrows, crosses and Tibetan flourishes above. Each is one UTF-16 unit and has no compatibility form to be replaced by.
- Use with care: the 15 items on this page that include a character above U+FFFF, such as 𓆩𓆪 or 𖤓. They take two units each, so they eat into any length limit twice as fast.
- Most likely to change: the 21 items that NFKC rewrites, including every sniper-rifle drawing, ₍₎, メ and ㋡. If a system normalises names, these come back looking different.
- Not for the name box: the dividers. They are built for a bio or a clan description, where there is more room.
The quickest real test is still your own: paste one symbol into the rename field and look at the preview before you spend a Rename Card. Changing a name uses a card, and the first card is free at Level 10 — the steps are in our guide on how to change your name in BGMI.
How do I type these symbols on Android and iOS?
You don’t type most of them — you copy them from a page like this and paste them. Phone keyboards only carry a handful of symbols such as ★ or ♥, and neither Android nor iOS has a built-in way to enter a character by its code point.

- Copy: tap a tile above. The site copies the exact characters, including any invisible joining marks.
- Paste: in the game, long-press the name field and choose Paste. Then move the cursor and type your name around the symbol.
- Save a shortcut for next time: on iPhone, go to Settings › General › Keyboard › Text Replacement and store the symbol with a short code such as
zzcrown. On Android with Gboard, open Gboard settings › Dictionary › Personal dictionary and add the symbol with a shortcut. Typing the shortcut then offers the symbol as a suggestion.
Avoid retyping a symbol by eye or picking a “similar” one from the keyboard. ♔ and ♚, or ✦ and ✧, are different characters, and a look-alike is a different name as far as the game is concerned.
Why do some symbols disappear after I save the name?
A symbol that looked fine in the preview can vanish or change for three reasons: the field filters it out, normalisation rewrites it, or the name ran past the length limit and was cut. The game does not say which one happened, so it helps to know what each looks like.

- Filtered: the character is simply gone and the rest of the name is intact. That means the field does not accept it; try a symbol from a different group.
- Normalised: the character is replaced by a plainer one. ︻ becomes 【, ₍₎ becomes (), メ becomes メ. This is NFKC, a standard Unicode transformation some systems apply to user names.
- Cut short: the end of the name is missing. A character above U+FFFF counts as two units, so a name full of 𓆩𓆪 or emoji reaches a limit sooner than it looks.
Separately, PUBG Mobile renames names that break its rules without asking first. That is about what the name says, not about which symbols it uses.
What is the U+ code of each symbol, and why does it matter?
The U+ code is the character’s permanent number in the Unicode standard, written in hexadecimal — ♛ is U+265B wherever it appears. It is the only reliable way to tell two look-alike symbols apart, and it is what you need when you search for a symbol, report a problem or check whether a copied name is really the same as yours.
That matters for names because many characters are drawn almost identically: ✝ (U+271D) and ✞ (U+271E), or ツ (U+30C4) and ッ (U+30C3), the small form of the same letter. The same trick works with letters, which is how people imitate a player’s name; we measured which ones in the 39 letters that can copy a PUBG name. When in doubt, compare the codes in the tables above rather than the shapes.
How the symbol groups compare
Frames and tags are built for the name itself; dividers and weapon art are built for a bio. The table sums up each group on this page.
| Group | Items | Where it goes | Above U+FFFF | Changed by NFKC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frames and brackets | 17 | Around the name | 3 | 1 (₍₎) |
| Crowns and royal marks | 22 | Before or after | 2 | 0 |
| Hearts | 13 | After the name | 2 | 0 |
| Stars and sparks | 25 | Either side, or between words | 0 | 0 |
| Arrows and pointers | 21 | Before the name | 0 | 0 |
| Crosses, blades and skulls | 19 | Either side | 0 | 0 |
| Japanese and CJK accents | 14 | Either side, or inside | 0 | 2 (メ, ㋡) |
| Flourishes and Tibetan marks | 18 | Start and end | 4 | 0 |
| Dividers | 23 | Bio or clan line | 2 | 6 |
| Weapon art | 15 | Bio, or a short name | 2 | 12 |
What these symbols look like in a real name
A plain name with one frame or one pair of tags is usually enough; stacking three groups makes a name hard to read in the kill feed. These examples use ordinary letters so only the symbols are decorative — the name tool on the home page can restyle the letters as well.
Short text faces that fit beside a name
A kaomoji is a small face built from symbols. Most are too wide for a nickname, but these short ones fit as a tag at the end of a name or in a squad chat. A few, such as (メ﹏メ) and (⚈₋₍⚈), contain compatibility characters, so NFKC can change them like the groups above.
Questions about length and bans
Do symbols count toward the name length limit?
Yes. A symbol is a character like any letter, and a symbol above U+FFFF is stored as two UTF-16 units. Neither game’s publisher states the exact limit, so the safest habit is to keep decorated names short and check the preview before saving.
Can symbols get my account banned?
Not the symbols themselves. Penalties are about what a name says: BGMI can ban an inappropriate nickname or clan name for up to 90 days and can change the name without asking, while PUBG Mobile’s published terms do not state a fixed number of days.
Why does a symbol show as an empty box on my friend’s phone?
That phone has no font for the block the symbol comes from. The name is stored correctly; it is only drawn differently. Symbols from Miscellaneous Symbols and Dingbats are the most widely supported.
